19-year-old confesses to woman’s killing
A 19-year-old youngster has confessed to the killing an 86-year-old woman in Heverlee outside Leuven. The woman was probably killed in the course of last week. Her body was found at the weekend.
Police were alerted after a friend of the woman discovered her body in her flat on Saturday morning.
Robbery was the motive for the killing.
The woman died as a result of injuries sustained during an assault. The flat had been thoroughly searched with the contents of cupboards scattered on the floor.
The 19-year-old suspected of the killing has now confessed. He was detained on Monday.
