Is Younes a terrorist?
The Belgian authorities have arrested Younes Delefortrie, a young Belgian convert to Islam, who travelled to Syria just over a month ago. In various interviews the youngster denied taking part in hostilities in the Syrian civil war.
25-year-old Younes Delefortrie returned to Belgium last week with a message that youngsters should think twice before they head off to the war zone in Syria.
He has repeatedly denied all involvement in the conflict, but on his return to Belgium he presented himself at a police station.
He appeared before an examining magistrate in the course of Saturday and was arrested. He is suspected of involvement in terrorist activities.
