Did Lord Mandelson buy off Opel?

13/03/10 - News of a deal between Spanish unions and the Opel management has fanned fears that European union solidarity is under threat. GM Europe recently announced the closure of its Antwerp Opel plant with the loss of 2,600 jobs. The British Government too has now pledged cash keeping open two Opel/Vauxhall plants in the UK, but British unions have been kept in the dark.
