Kompany to open sport bars in Brussels and Antwerp

The Manchester City and Belgian national team Captain Vincent Kompany is to open two sport-orientated bars. The first “Good Kompany” bar will open tomorrow in Brussels at the corner of the prestigious central market square Grote Markt and the Heuvelstraat. A second ‘Good Kompany’ bar on the Groenplaats in Antwerp at the end of May.

A second ‘Good Kompany’ bar on the Groenplaats will open in Antwerp at the end of May.

The idea behind Vincent Kompany’s venture into the hospitality industry is to allow sports fan the opportunity to follow major sporting event on a giant screen. The Brussels-born defender tod the daily ‘Gazet van Antwerpen’ “These kind of big events bring people together. I like this kind of unifying factor”.

After the matches the sport bars will turn into trendy dance cafés complete with their own DJs. There will also be videogames available for the customers to play.

Vincent Kompany says that he hopes that his new bars “will make the atmosphere in the two cities even better”.

The Brussels’ ‘Good Kompany’ bar opens in Brussels tomorrow. The Antwerp bar will be opening at the end of May in time for the World Cup in Brazil.
