Two Matthias Schoenaerts' movies at Venice Film Festival
Two films featuring the Flemish actor Matthias Schoenaerts are in competition at this year's Venice Film Festival. Both "A Bigger Splash" by the Italian director Luca Guadagnino and "The Danish Girl" by Britain's Tom Hooper have been selected.
Matthias Schoenaerts' two movies will vie against 19 other films selected for the competition.
"A Bigger Splash" is the remake of the French thriller "La Piscine" (1968) and also features Ralph Fiennes and Tilda Swinton. "The Danish Girl" tells the true tale of a Danish artist during the 1920's. Alicia Vikander and Eddie Redmayne play the leads.
The Venice Film Festival runs from 2 to 12 September. Mexican director Alfonso Cuaron chairs the international jury.
